The Organizing Committee recognized the public’s desire to be more involved and also determined that many of the CNRC roles would overlap with the roles of PAGs and LRMPs. Therefore, the Organizing Committee focused on communicating about other existing processes and opportunities for public involvement in the Prince George Timber Supply Area, including:

  • Forest Stewardship plans;
  • Forest Research plans;
  • Model Forest plans;
  • Land and Resource Management Plans; and
  • Other key planning activities.

As a result, the Organizing Committee will coordinate scheduling and communicating about public involvement events. It is expected that processes such as PAGs and LRMPs will address many of the issues indicated in the evaluations.
